This introduction can be useful for individuals and for couples. If you are considering couples counselling, it is usually most helpful for both partners to attend so there is a shared starting point and a clearer sense of how the work may be held.

Who should book directly instead

If you already know you would like to begin counselling, you are welcome to book a full session directly rather than starting with the introduction call.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. A calm first conversation is enough.

Who should seek urgent or specialist help instead?

If there is immediate danger, risk of harm, a suicidal crisis, current abuse, acute psychiatric instability, or another urgent safety concern, this introduction is not the right pathway. In those situations, local emergency, crisis, medical, or specialist support should be contacted instead.
